What Goes Into Every Hommy Vending Machine — Filmed by Guangdong TV
October 7, 2026 · Jiangmen, Guangdong

The crew of “Today’s Lingnan” filming on Hommy’s assembly line workshop in Xinhui, Jiangmen.
All Hommy vending machines are made out of a flat steel plate. A film crew from “Today’s
Lingnan” (今日岭南) on the TV station of Guangdong Province followed that journey from
beginning to end — from the first cut to the final quality check — at our production base in
Jiangmen, Guangdong.
“Today’s Lingnan” is a business-feature programme on TVS1 (Economic & Sci-Tech Channel)
of Guangdong TV. It was launched in 2019 and joins more than 6,000 media outlets in China to
showcase what Guangdong’s companies, industries and people are doing. On this occasion, the
cameras went to the workshop floor.
One production line, one quality level
The crew recorded the entire process, station by station: laser cutting, where steel is cut
to the correct dimensions; CNC punching and press-brake bending, where flat panels are bent
to become machine bodies; injection moulding, where plastic components are created on-site;
and assembly and testing, where a complete machine is checked before leaving the factory.

Press-brake bending: flat steel panels are used to create machine bodies.
It’s the same line, it’s the same process behind each Hommy smoothie vending machine. At the
structural stage, nothing is outsourced; body panels, the internal brackets and the plastic
parts are all manufactured on site, and then assembled and tested by the same team. This
translates to two things that are difficult to fake for the buyer: consistency and
predictable lead times.
1999
The year Hommy began constructing vending machines and food-service equipment — ever since
then, all in the same plant, with the same team.
The images taken by the cameras
A few finished machines were also captured on camera, such as a french fries vending machine
and a robotic-arm automated vending machine. The wider Hommy line-up includes ice cream and
frozen yoghurt machines, slush and smoothie vending machines, pizza, popcorn and hot food
vending machines, sugarcane juice, popsicle and ice block machines.

There’s a robotic-arm vending machine on Hommy’s production line.
Since 1999, Hommy Enterprise (Xinhui) Co., Ltd. has been manufacturing vending machines and
food-service equipment, and currently has a 30,500 m² factory in Xinhui, Jiangmen. The
company also accepts OEM / ODM orders, and exports to customers around the world.
What is the value to a buyer of a factory visit? The strength of a vending machine is
determined long before it makes it to the street corner – in the thickness of its steel, the
fit of its panels and the consistency of the assembly line. Most suppliers can give you a
picture of the product; few can provide you a tour of the floor where they built it. That’s
what the film crew filmed.
The feature will be broadcast on the TVS1 channel of Guangdong TV.
